A couple of years ago I took some of our refugee children out shopping for school clothes.  As we were looking for the right size underwear for a 12 year old, she ask if we could buy underwear for her mom too.  She went on to explain that since leaving Afghanistan over a year previously, the mom had faithfully washed out her one pair of underwear every night.  I was so thankful this young girl pointed out a need that we might never have known about.  The mom certainly would not have asked.

Right now we are trying to help others who might have similar needs.  We are collecting new underwear and socks. Teach your kids about helping others by letting them pick out some cool new undies that we can give to the Clothesline for Kids. Adult underwear will go to PathForward, the organization supporting the homeless in Arlington. Maybe give a woman new confidence with a new bra, give men warm feet with a package of socks. They also need disposable underwear for those with incontinence problems. For questions reach out  to me.  Thanks for your help, Claudia   info@arlilngtonfamily.org
