“You can’t take it with you.” This psalm is, in many ways, a recapitulation of the treasure in heaven teachings in the gospels. However, the distinction we sometimes miss is the warning not to trust in our wealth and our own provisions. The issue isn’t the wealth, the issue is where we put our trust. Ultimately, God is the only truly trustworthy and reliable person worthy of holding our trust.
