Psalm 84 exults in the strength given to pilgrims as they pass through valleys toward God’s house. Paul, nearing death, reflects that he has run the race and now awaits the crown of righteousness. The psalm sings of a journey sustained by God’s presence; the epistle witnesses to a race completed by God’s grace. Together, they trace the arc of a life held in God from pilgrimage to completion.
