Our congregation’s three Elders taught this series of classes about Titus and 1-2 Timothy. The class syllabus is here and videos of each of the classes, in English with Spanish subtitles, are available below. Among other matters, the classes address what these and other scriptures teach about congregational leadership and about the voices of individual women being heard in Christian worship assemblies. On the latter issue, a thorough annotated bibliography is here.

In this class Stuart Platt leads us through a discussion of the opening of Titus as well as the character of elders.  He also addresses how we interpret these pastoral epistles for our time.  In doing so he refers to this drawing from Duvall and Hayes, Grasping God’s Word.

 

In this first class, Dennis Hlasta leads us through an introduction to the pastoral epistles.
